Job: Sprinkler System Designer

KMNR Engineering Pvt limited is located on main Shahra-e-Faisal (Please visit our website for location). We are seeking candidates to fill a Sprinkler Design Engineer position which is ideally suitable for BE Mechanical Engineer or DAE (Mechanical).

Job Summary

The successful candidate will work in the mechanical engineering group. Design Fire Protection Systems for all types of projects including Commercial, Hospitals, High Rise Residential & Light Industrial. Perform layout using AutoCAD or Revit and do hydraulic calculations using specialized software. Must be organized, efficient and work well with the design team. Good computer skills are necessary for this position.

Job Responsibilities:

Should have;

• Knowledge of fire codes (NFPA-13,14 and 20)
• Read drawing of Basic Building layout (walls, ceiling grid, basic fire sprinkler layout, including heads and piping)
• Design and layout Fire sprinkler and Fire Standpipe Systems using specialized CAD software packages that are based on the AutoCAD or Revit platforms.
• Coordinate sprinkler system piping with other building components.
• Perform hydraulic calculations.
• Read and interpret construction documents, including drawings, specifications and contracts
• Interpret and apply applicable NFPA standards to the design and/or layout of the sprinkler systems based on the building type, construction type, hazard classification and architectural features.

Qualifications:

• BE Mechanical /DAE diploma holder is required.
• Should have minimum 1-3 years of experience preferably in a previous sprinkler design role.
• Being proficient in AutoCAD, mathematically and technically inclined to learn industry specific software and codes will be essential
• Excellent communicator, self-motivated individual with great organizational skills
